This painting is the third in the "Nature Speaks" series, following "Last of the Pack" and "Who's Moving In?". The two wolves we met in the previous paintings are the last two wolves in the territory. They are literally running on the borderline between existence and extinction. They're facing their biggest battle, where they either continue to live or join the spirit wolves that are their recent companions. Bears, buffalo, eagles and our ancestors that have gone before us are watching to see what happens, as everythings is going to be affected by what we decide to do with the wolf. This painting represents the crucial moment we are at, where our actions as humanity will have resounding, and possibly permanent, impacts on the world we live in. We have to realize that we will be deeply affected also, as we are part of this ecosystem. This painting is followed in this series by "Return of the Pack" and "Wild and Free".
